’17 NM Beef Ambassador Contest

The NM CowBelle’s 2017 New Mexico Beef Ambassador contest documents are now available.  The available forms for the contest are: NM Beef Ambassador BrochureJunior Information SheetSenior Info Sheet, and Beef Ambassador Entry Form.

This year’s contest has been streamlined to include:
  • A 10-15 minute PowerPoint presentation on the following topic:  “Response To Consumer Myths About Beef”
  • Interview before a panel of judges with ties to the beef industry

Contestant age categories are:  Senior – Ages 18-20  and Junior – Ages 15-17

The contest will be held Friday, March 31 in Las Cruces after the State FFA Career
Development Events.  Check-in will be at 1:45pm.  Location TBA upon entry.  Winners will be announced at the beginning of the State FFA Awards at 6:30pm held that same evening at the Pan Am Center on the NMSU campus.
The entry deadline is March 1 via email, mail or on-line submission.

A three member team, consisting of the top two seniors and one junior, will be chosen to travel throughout the state to promote the beef industry through educational presentations, events, and social media.  Each of the team members will receive a monogrammed beef ambassador jacket and shirts to wear during promotional activities.
Cash Prizes Include:
First Place Senior  – $500 cash award
Second Place Senior – $350 cash award
First Place Junior – $150 cash award
