Don’t miss out on the first-ever NMDA Chef Ambassador Program

Application deadline is Saturday, June 30

Las Cruces, New Mexico – Don’t miss out on the opportunity to apply for the New Mexico Department of Agriculture’s first-ever NEW MEXICO—Taste the Tradition® (NM-TTT) Chef Ambassador Program. This is your chance to provide a taste of New Mexico agriculture simply by incorporating foods grown throughout the state into your own recipes. If selected, chefs will have the chance to showcase their cooking skills and gain industry exposure while providing a voice for New Mexico agriculture.

Ambassadors selected through a competitive application process will serve a two-year term advocating for and promoting New Mexico agriculture at various events, such as the New Mexico State Fair, HomeGrown and industry conferences.

Those interested in becoming an NM-TTT Chef Ambassador must demonstrate credentials as a chef, sous chef or pastry chef in the state of New Mexico. Please visit newmexicotradition.com or call Felicia Frost at 575-646-4929 for more information. One Howl of a Need!

Recent federal court decisions have created a need to fund additional wolf litigation if Arizona and New Mexico ranchers and their families plan to stay on the ground. The precedents set by the Tucson Federal District Court 10J Rule case will have far reaching impacts on all endangered species.

To head that off, we will likely need to appeal the recent Tucson decision… But there is good news!

Your dollars will go farther than EVER before! We have had tow generous donors, CKP Drought Insurance and Alisa Ogden have pledged to match every dollar donated!

2018 Mid-Year Meeting

New Mexico Cattle Grower’s Association, New Mexico CowBelles & New Mexico Association of Conservation Districts Mid-Year Meeting

New Mexico Wool Growers, Inc. & New Mexico Federal Lands Council Annual Meeting

June 10 – 12, 2018/ Ruidoso Convention Center/Ruidoso, New Mexico

The 2018 New Mexico Cattle Growers’ Association / New Mexico CowBelles / New Mexico Association of Conservation Districts Mid Year Meeting; New Mexico State University Short Course and the New Mexico Wool Growers, Inc. Annual Meeting are just around the corner. This largest mid-year gathering of New Mexico agriculture is scheduled for June 10 through 12 at the Ruidoso Convention Center in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Already it has been a busy year, but we hope that you can take some time out of your busy schedule to come and join us in some of the events we have to offer; bring the whole family!  We are happy to have New Mexico Association of Conservation Districts join us this year.  New Mexico CowBelles have new activities planned to help promote beef as well as our  Policy and Issues Sessions, Ladies Luncheon and NMSU Short Course, so there is bound to be something for everyone to enjoy.  As always, there will be a good mix of fun and learning to make this event worth your time.

We will highlight the the 2018 Legislative Session, bills that passed and those that were vetoed, along with legislative issues that continue to be a concern and attack our lands and way of life.  The 2018 Elections are MORE IMPORTANT than ever!!!  It is never too early to start discussing who WE want to represent us both in the Roundhouse and on Capitol Hill.  New Mexico agriculture has strived to not only preserve our way of life but to enhance our livelihoods in providing food and fiber for all Americans.  NMCGA and NMWGI are proud of our members for all they do both on and off the ranch to achieve this goal.

As you can see, we need your input to develop policy to fight these issues!  Throw all that in with the Bud Eppers & Les Davis Memorial Golf Tournament, where we cowboys get out our golf sticks at least once a year, along with good food, fun and fellowship, and a good time should be had by all!  Please make your reservations and registrations TODAY!  Click Here to Register Online.
